Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has expressed immense pride following India’s victory in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) against Pakistan. The match, held in Birmingham, saw India Champions triumph over Pakistan Champions by five wickets, securing the inaugural title.
Reflecting on the win, Yuvraj emphasized that there is no greater joy than representing India on the field. “I don’t think there’s any better feeling than coming and winning the game for India; that’s our passion,” he stated during a post-match interview on Star Sports. He acknowledged the challenges faced during the tournament, particularly against formidable teams like Australia and Pakistan. “We had to play some really good cricket to beat them, which we did,” he added.

Yuvraj praised the atmosphere at Edgbaston, commending the enthusiastic crowd and the excellent venue for the tournament. He also congratulated the WCL organizers for their hard work in bringing the event to life, noting that the India-Pakistan final was a highlight for the league.
Former teammate Ambati Rayudu also shared his thoughts on the victory, highlighting the team’s resilience despite the challenges of returning to competitive cricket after a break. “It’s hard not playing cricket and then coming and playing such a good tournament,” Rayudu remarked. He credited Yuvraj’s leadership for keeping the team motivated throughout the tournament.
