Sri Lanka Pacers Pathirana and Madushanka to Miss India ODI Series Due to Injuries
Key Sri Lankan Bowlers Out of Upcoming ODI Series Against India

Sri Lanka will be without key fast bowlers Matheesha Pathirana and Dilshan Madushanka for the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against India in August, as reported by ESPNcricinfo on Thursday. Pathirana sustained a shoulder injury during the third T20 international against India on Tuesday, while Madushanka is sidelined with a hamstring injury. This adds to the host team’s fast-bowling challenges, as Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara are also unavailable due to illness and a fractured thumb, respectively.
New Addition to the Squad
In light of these injuries, uncapped player Mohamed Shiraz has been called up as a replacement, according to team manager Mahinda Halangoda, who spoke with ESPNcricinfo.
India Tour and Match Schedule
The visiting Indian team, which recently swept the T20 series, is set to play three ODIs against Sri Lanka on August 2, 4, and 7.
