Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024: Complete Guide to Teams, Squads, and Match Schedule
Everything You Need to Know About the Upcoming Eight-Team T20 Tournament in Sri Lanka

The ninth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup is set to kick off on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Sri Lanka. This highly anticipated tournament will feature eight teams competing in the T20I format for the fifth consecutive edition, serving as a preparatory event for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in October-November in Bangladesh.
The tournament format includes an initial round-robin stage where eight teams are divided into two groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The grand final is scheduled to take place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on July 28.
India enters the competition as the defending champion, having clinched the title against Sri Lanka in 2022. Historically, India has dominated the Asia Cup, winning all but one edition, with Bangladesh securing the 2018 title.
