Casper Ruud’s Humorous Take on Carlos Alcaraz’s Olympics Inquiry, Receives Praise from Rafael Nadal

Ruud’s Playful Response to Alcaraz’s Request for Tips

Casper Ruud had a humorous reaction when asked if Carlos Alcaraz had contacted him for advice before the Paris Olympics, where Alcaraz will team up with Rafael Nadal. Ruud joked, “Carlos? He’s probably busy celebrating his Wimbledon win. If he needs tips, I’m available on the phone.”

Nadal, who is preparing for the Paris Olympics after missing Wimbledon, recently returned to action at the Swedish Open. He is competing in both singles and doubles, where he and Ruud recently secured a quarter-final victory over Theo Arribage and Roman Safiullin.

Nadal praised Ruud for their doubles performance, stating, “It was an emotional match. Casper played exceptionally well, and we had a lot of fun. The crowd was fantastic, and we enjoyed the high level of tennis.”

Ruud had earlier been defeated by Thiago Monteiro in the singles Round of 16, losing 3-6, 3-6. This Olympics may be Nadal’s final appearance, potentially capping his illustrious career with another gold medal in Paris, a venue where he has previously excelled.
