Did Muttiah Muralitharan Dance on ‘Tauba Tauba’ in Viral Video? Here’s the Truth

A video has gone viral on social media featuring a dancer who looks strikingly similar to legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. In the video, the dancer is seen grooving to the famous song “Tauba Tauba” featuring actor Vicky Kaushal from the film “Bad Newz”. The video quickly gained popularity among social media users, with many convinced that it was indeed Muralitharan shaking a leg. However, the dancer in the video is not Muralitharan, but actually a choreographer named Kiran. Kiran has earned much praise for his dance moves and the execution of the video.

Meanwhile, Rinku Singh and Suryakumar Yadav’s late bowling efforts, combined with Washington Sundar’s Super Over performance, helped India beat Sri Lanka in the third T20I. Chasing a target of 138, the hosts had a strong start with openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis raising a 58-run partnership for the first wicket. Spinner Ravi Bishnoi broke the opening stand in the ninth over. Kusal Perera joined Mendis and stitched another significant partnership of 52 runs, laying the foundation for a seemingly comfortable win. However, Bishnoi struck again by removing Mendis (43) in the 16th over.

At that point, Sri Lanka needed 28 runs off 28 balls. But the hosts’ batting faltered, reducing them to 132/6 in 19 overs. Rinku Singh took two crucial wickets, including the scalp of Perera (46) in the penultimate over. In the final over, Suryakumar was surprisingly brought on to defend six runs off six balls. Astonishingly, he succeeded, restricting Sri Lanka to 137/8, matching India’s total to tie the match.

The match went into the Super Over, where Washington Sundar dismissed both Kusal Perera and Pathum Nissanka, limiting Sri Lanka to 2/2 in 0.3 overs. In reply, Suryakumar hit a boundary off the first ball of Maheesh Theekshana’s Super Over to secure the series win for India.
