“Lewis Hamilton Triumphs at British Grand Prix, Ending Three-Year Victory Drought”
"Hamilton Claims His Ninth Silverstone Win, Outpacing Max Verstappen"

Lewis Hamilton broke a three-year winless streak by triumphing in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday. The Briton fended off a fierce challenge from Max Verstappen, securing his ninth victory at the historic track.
“I’ve been waiting for this,” Hamilton exclaimed after crossing the finish line in his Mercedes, surpassing Michael Schumacher’s record for most wins at a single circuit. Lando Norris of McLaren completed the podium in third place.
This win marks Hamilton’s 104th Formula One victory, further extending his record. Overwhelmed with emotion, the 39-year-old embraced his father as the home crowd erupted in cheers.
“Since 2021, I’ve been fighting every day, training, and staying focused,” said Hamilton, who is set to join Ferrari after this season. “This is my last race for the team here. I love them so much and will be forever grateful to everyone at Mercedes and the incredible fans.”
George Russell, Hamilton’s teammate and last week’s winner in Austria, had to retire from the race due to a water leak after starting from pole position.
