Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga Out of ODI Series Against India Due to Hamstring Injury
Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga will be sidelined for the remainder of the three-match ODI series against India due to a hamstring injury, according to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). The 27-year-old spinner sustained the injury during the first ODI, where he took three wickets in a match that ended in a thrilling tie.
SLC reported that Hasaranga felt pain in his left hamstring while delivering the final ball of his 10th over. Subsequent MRI scans confirmed the injury. Sri Lanka is also missing pacers Matheesha Pathirana and Dilshan Madushanka, who were injured during last month’s T20 series against India.
Sri Lanka is set to face India in the second ODI on Sunday, with the third match scheduled for August 7 in Colombo.
