“Suryakumar Yadav Unveils the Real Game-Changing Moment for India in 3rd T20I”

Suryakumar Yadav is elated as he witnesses his teammates’ camaraderie and support, marking the beginning of his journey to becoming a true leader rather than just a captain. In his debut series as full-time T20I captain, Suryakumar earned the ‘Player of The Series’ award for his stellar performances in the first two games, with his two wickets in the Super Over win adding a special touch.
“Like I said before the series, I don’t want to be the captain, I want to be the leader,” Suryakumar stated during the post-match presentation.
He lauded his teammates for their heart and determination in defending a modest total of 137.

“The amount of skill and self-confidence they have makes my job easy. The positivity and care for each other are unbelievable. After the last game, I told a few boys they would be rested, and they were ready to sit out. They have made my job easy. I have little pressure when I bat,” he said.
Suryakumar emphasized the importance of appreciating low-scoring games, which bring balance to the sport, just as much as high-scoring ones.
“More than the last over, I feel when we were around 30/4 and 48 for 5, the way the boys showed character was remarkable. A score of 140 was par on that track. I told them if we put our heart into it, we could pull it off.”
Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka expressed his disappointment with the middle-order’s performance throughout the series.
“Definitely, really disappointed, especially with the middle-order and lower-middle order. Very bad shot selection. The thinking was spinners were bowling, and that’s why Wanindu Hasaranga came up the order with the license to hit one or two boundaries,” Asalanka said.
He stressed the need for better shot selection, especially as the ball ages, and hoped for improved batting performances in the ODIs.
“We can’t give excuses and we have to do more than this. I want to see good batting performances in the ODIs, and I think the boys will do better,” the dejected Lankan skipper added.
